Guacamole

Guacamole as an appetizer – or as a sauce, whichever is closer to anyone – is traditionally known in Mexican cuisine, but very popular all over the world. The main thing is to find a good ripe avocado and be sure to knead the pulp with lemon or lime juice – with this simple action, the dish retains its green color and does not turn into something unattractive.

Guacamole

Ingredients

  • Chili pepper – 1 piece
  • Avocado – 3 pieces
  • Tomatoes – 2 pieces
  • Onions – 1 head
  • Cilantro – 1 bunch
  • Lime – 1 piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Garlic – 1 clove

Cooking instructions

  • Peel and chop the tomatoes. Remove the seeds from the chili and grind together with the onions, garlic and cilantro. In a large mortar and pestle, turn the chili, cilantro, tomatoes and lime zest and onions into a smooth paste. Salt lightly and stir again.
  • Add one to two tablespoons of water and lime juice to thin the mixture.
  • Peel the avocado, remove the seeds, cut the flesh into small cubes. Add to the chili and tomato paste and knead everything thoroughly. Serve with corn chips.
