There are few things more positive, reliable and soothing to the nerves in the world than the smell of hot cookies that gradually fills the kitchen. Anyone can make shortbread cookies – this is not a multi-tiered cake, which is scary to approach without the proper skills. With sandy stars and rhombuses, the main thing is not to let them stand in the oven, otherwise they will freeze and petrify. The rest of the recipe is extremely simple and rapid in cooking – it’s nice when a baking sheet with crumbly cookies comes out of the oven faster than the kettle can boil on the stove.
Ingredients
Wheat flour – 370 g
Sour cream – 150 g
Sugar – 200 g
Butter – 125 g
Vanillin – ½ teaspoon
Soda – ½ teaspoon
Chicken egg – 1 piece
Сooking instruction
Put granulated sugar, soda, vanillin into flour, mix everything, add sour cream, butter in pieces and knead the dough.
Roll the dough into a ball, wrap with foil and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.
On a surface dusty with flour, roll out the dough about ½ cm thick. On the surface of the dough, make pricks with a fork and cut out the figures. Put on a baking sheet. Some figurines can be decorated, for example, in the center of the mug, put a raisin or jam berry.
Grease the figurines with a beaten egg and place in the oven, preheated to 170 degrees, for 10-12 minutes.
